Michael Liben

Michael Liben is the compassionate host of the "Bereaved But Still Me" podcast, where he interviews individuals who have experienced loss, including bereaved parents, counselors, authors, and religious leaders. As a bereaved father himself, having lost both his parents, Michael brings a unique perspective to the conversations, fostering a safe and supportive environment for sharing stories of grief and resilience. Through these insightful discussions, he aims to empower listeners to navigate their own healing while finding hope and connection in the shared experience of loss.

Dina Gachman

Dina Gachman is a Pulitzer Center Grantee and an award winning journalist. She writes for The New York Times, Vox, Texas Monthly, Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Guardian, The New York Times Magazine and more. She writes a monthly movie column for The New York Times. Publisher’s Weekly calls her second book of essays, So Sorry For Your Loss, “A poignant, personal exploration of grief.”

She studied English Literature at UCLA and has appeared on ABC's 20/20, CBS We are Austin, Chicago’s WGN and Texas Standard. She’s written two comic books for Bluewater Comics, about legendary superheroes Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. She lives near Austin, Texas, with her husband and son.

Fonda Lee Miller

Fonda Miller is a counselor. She has a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She is also a Certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer, FEMA Emergency Response Certification with extended training in First Responders Trauma Management, Certified Trauma Specialist, Sexual Assault and Sexual Trafficking Certified, and a Certified Secondary Trauma Trainer. 


She serves on the Wake Health Services, United Way, and North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault Boards. She is a member of Rotary and United Methodist Women. She has received the Jaycee Woman of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award for Work in the Field of Domestic Violence in North Carolina, the Bessie Arrington Gupton Award for Outstanding Commitment to Louisburg College, and the North Carolina Advisor of the Year for Students Against Drunk Drivers/Distructive Decisions.

Hanny Sidis

Hanny Sidis is from Haifa Israel. Hanny is an occupational, dance, and mind and body therapist. She works with people through movement to connect the body and mind in order to work through a variety of issues such as relationships, emotions, trust, and trauma. Hanny guides them to have a better understanding of themselves and to connect their inner self so they can make better choices for themselves. 
 
 Hanny has added Acro balance to her treatments as a therapeutic tool bringing a better understanding of parental-child needs such as communication, trust, and an emotional connection to each other. In the future, she would like to open her own studio, guiding groups of families to impact more people.

Toni Alexander

Antoinette “Toni” Alexander is an author, an inspirational speaker, and has served in several leadership roles. Her books include topics on grief and relationships.


Toni is no stranger to grief. She has lost both of her parents and a spouse. The death of her mother hit her particularly hard and inspired her book, Mom’s Dying? Encouragement for the Journey, and Embracing Life Changes: Praising Through Pain where she interviewed other people who had experienced losses to assist them with loss through suicide, illness, and other life-altering events.
